Parent Engagement Registration

Just a reminder that parent engagement night is scheduled to happen on March 28 from 7pm-8pm.  Constable Tim Keizer and Jason Mosher will be talking to parents about cyber safety and anti bullying.  Registration is due Monday March 27th.

Home and School Meeting Rescheduled, AGM and Parent Engagement

Make up date for the monthly Home and School meeting will be held tomorrow evening, Thursday March 16th at 6:30 in the staff room

Topics of discussion will include the proposed resolutions that will be presented on April 8ths AGM. The resolutions can be viewed online at http://peihsf.ca/agm/resolutions.

Also, the deadline for registration for the AGM is coming to a close on March 27th.   Anyone is welcome to attend.  Those interested in attending, please contact Vanessa Ford by text or phone 902-213-6112.  She will need your name and email address.

Cookie Dough Pick up Today March 9th

Just another friendly reminder that cookie dough pick up is today.  The dough  must be kept refrigerated so orders need to be picked up at the school between 2:30 to 6:30 pm .  Any orders that are not picked up will be donated to the food bank.

This is a friendly reminder that cookie dough pick up will be held this Thursday March 9th from 2:30 to 6:30 pm.  Since the orders must be refrigerated, any orders not picked up can not be held and will be generously donated to a local food bank.

Home and School News, March 2017

Annual Meeting & Convention is April 8th
PEI Home and School Federation’s 64th Annual Meeting & Convention, Saturday, April 8, 2017, Rodd Charlottetown Hotel.  The meeting will focus on the topic: How can equity be addressed in Island Schools?  Presenters will discuss ways of addressing particular facets of equity in schools, including food programs (Rachel Schofield Martin), flexible learning (Mitch Murphy), and citizen engagement in decision making (Bill Whelan). Proposed 2017 Resolutions
Home and Schools are to review the 2017 proposed resolutions and determine how your school’s delegates will vote at the Annual Meeting.

Volunteer of the Year Award / Life Membership
Nominate an outstanding Home and School volunteer from your school. The deadline has been moved to: Monday, March 13, 2017.

Deadline for School Change Public Input

The deadline for public input regarding the School Change Recommendations is March 11th, 2017.  

You can provide an online or written submission to the Public Schools Branch Board of Directors via the Better Learning for All website https://www.princeedwardisland.ca/en/information/education-early-learning-and-culture/school-review-better-learning-all.  

Please identify which recommendations you do or do not support and why. You may also provide alternate recommendations.
