Magazine Campaign Prize Winners

Last Tuesday we held the assembly to wrap up the Magazine Campaign and all the students were awarded their prizes! In addition, we drew for prizes based on selling 1 magazine up to the top seller in the school! The winners are:

Upcoming Session: What kids need to know about anxiety - What adults need to know
Mark your calendars for November 27th at 6:30 pm...
Through a Parent Engagement Grant from the PEI Home & School Federation, the West Royalty Home & School Association is pleased to offer a session on November 27th to provide parents and guardians with information to assist children dealing with anxiety.
Wendy Gallant, our School Counsellor at West Royalty Elementary School, will provide information to parents about how anxiety presents in children and how to help children cope.
Please register using the sign-up sheet that was sent home with your child this week.

Pancake Breakfast - Saturday, December 6th 8-10:30 am
Flyers were sent home recently for a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, December 6th from 8:00-10:30 a.m. at West Royalty Elementary School. This event is being hosted by MLA Bush Dumville with ALL proceeds going towards West Royalty Home & School Association.
Come on out, enjoy a pancake breakfast with your neighbors, staff from the school, members of the Home and School Association, and MLA Bush Dumville.
Tickets: $6 for adults, $4 for children and $18 for a family. Tickets are available at the school. Please make cheques payable to West Royalty Home & School Association. Ticket orders must be submitted by Monday, December 1st.

Presentation - New Progress Monitoring Assessment Model
The Queen Charlotte Home & School Association is hosting a presentation at Queen Charlotte Intermediate School on Wednesday, November 26th at 7 pm. Tammy Hubley-Little from the English Language School Board (ELSB) will be speaking about the new Progress Monitoring assessment model that is being piloted at some of the schools in the ELSB, including West Royalty Elementary. It should prove to be an informative, and engaging, evening.
