SHAPES-PEI at H&S Meeting - March 13, 2012
SHAPES-PEI is a provincial youth health survey that examines grade 5-12 students’ healthy eating, physical activity, mental fitness, and tobacco/drug use behaviours. During the 2010-11 school year, West Royalty Elementary students took part in this survey along with thousands of other Island youth. Now the results are in and representatives from the Comprehensive School Health Research Group at UPEI and the PEI Department of Education and Early Childhood Development are coming to share with us some of what our students had to say! Melissa Munro-Bernard and Sterling Carruthers will be presenting West Royalty’s SHAPES-PEI results at our next Home and School Meeting - Tuesday, March 13 at 6:30 pm. This will be a great opportunity for all interested parents to discuss current student health issues and ways to get involved. We hope to see you there!
