It’s National Teacher Appreciation Week!! Heather MacKenzie and her committee have been very busy organizing a week of events to show the teachers and staff at West Royalty Elementary just how much they are appreciated by all of the parents and children. Thank you Heather!

The results of the Primary Math Assessments were sent home with Grade 4 students on February 14th. At the February Home and School meeting, Mr. Gaudet mentioned that the students at WRE did quite well overall. For more information about the assessments, visit the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development website at www.gov.pe.ca/eecd/ProvincialAssessment.
The Winter Carnival is shaping up to be a great family event! On March 12 from 10-12, the school is THE place to be! Tickets will be $2 per person, and an order form will go home with the students soon. All proceeds of the Carnival support the French program at the school, so come on out and play some Wii, or if BINGO is more your speed, you can do that too!
CBC’s Dragon’s Den is looking for the next great youth entrepreneurs! They are doing a tour across Canada looking for students who are inspiring entrepreneurs to audition for their program. Information can be found at: http://www.cbc.ca/dragonsden/audition/
